They also act for many new and emerging groups. They have extensive experience advising manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, suppliers and retailers operating in Australia and overseas in relation to a broad range of legal and commercial issues.

In regard to franchising, their work includes the establishment and ongoing administration, strategic development and corporate governance of state, national and international franchise systems, the sale and acquisition of franchise networks and advice regarding Franchising Code of Conduct compliance and new franchise grants.

The team is also experienced in all aspects of intellectual property and brand protection including trade mark, business name and domain name registrations both in Australia and overseas, drafting and reviewing intellectual property agreements including sale, licence, franchise, distribution, commercialisation, software and other technology agreements, due diligence investigations and advising in relation to intellectual property infringements including copyright, confidential information and trade marks.

The team regularly advises in regard to the application of competition, consumer and trade practices law, including supply, pricing and market conduct issues.
